In the Western world, the past in this part of the world, women have dresses and skirt-like garments while men have trousers (pants). During the 1800s, women began wearing pants for industrial work. During World War II, women wore trousers while their husbands were in work and in the 1970s, in particular, became fashionable trousers for women.
